Cookies Policy

This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on the Grp Casino site, what each type of cookie does and how long it stays on your device. It also sets out how to accept, refuse or change your choices at any time.

What cookies are and why we use them

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on the device you are using. When you return, your browser sends that file back to us, which lets the site recognise your session, remember what you have chosen and keep your account secure. Similar technologies, such as pixels, tags and the storage built into your browser, work in much the same way, and we treat them all as cookies in this policy.

We use cookies for four broad reasons: to make the site work and keep your account safe, to understand how the site is used so we can fix problems, to remember your preferences, and to measure our advertising. Some cookies are set by us and some are set by the providers we work with for analytics, payments, fraud prevention and advertising. We do not use cookies to collect more information than we need, and the information they produce is not sold on.

Cookies are also grouped by how long they stay on your device and by who sets them.

TermWhat it means
Session cookieDeleted when you close your browser. Most of the cookies that keep you signed in work this way.
Persistent cookieStays on your device until it expires or you delete it, so the site can remember you on a later visit.
First-party cookieSet by our own site, for the purposes described below.
Third-party cookieSet by a provider we use, for example an analytics or advertising service.

The types of cookies we use

The cookie notice on the site groups cookies into the four categories below. Strictly necessary cookies are always on, because the site cannot be delivered without them. The other three categories stay off until you agree to them, and you can change your choice later.

Strictly necessary

These cookies keep the site working and your account protected. Without them you could not sign in, use the cashier or open the tools in your account. We hold a gaming licence and must verify the identity and age of every account holder, and some of these cookies support those checks.

  • Keeping you signed in as you move between pages, and signing you out after a period of inactivity.
  • Security and fraud prevention, including recognising unusual sign-in attempts and protecting our forms from abuse.
  • Recording that you have seen the cookie notice and which categories you agreed to, so you are not asked again on every page.
  • Keeping the safer gambling settings already applied to your account in force while you are signed in, such as a limit or a reality check.

Performance and analytics

These cookies tell us how the site is used, in aggregate. We look at the reports to find pages that load slowly, steps where players get stuck and errors we would otherwise not see.

  • Counting visits to a page and the route taken through the site, without identifying you to the people who read the reports.
  • Measuring loading times and logging technical errors so they can be fixed.

Functionality

These cookies remember the choices you make, so the site behaves the way you left it.

  • Your language and display preferences, and whether sound is on or off in a game window.
  • Your favourite and recently played games, and the lobby layout you last used.

Marketing

These cookies measure our advertising and, where you have agreed to them, allow advertising to be shown to you on other sites. They may also record that you arrived through a partner, so that the partner is credited correctly.

  • Measuring whether an advert led to a visit, a registration or a first deposit.
  • Limiting how often the same advert is shown, and leaving out people who already hold an account with us.

Advertising and age

Our advertising is directed at adults aged 18 or over only. We do not knowingly use marketing cookies to advertise to anyone under 18. If you think our advertising has appeared somewhere it should not, tell us and we will look into it.

What happens if you block or delete cookies

If you refuse everything except strictly necessary cookies, the site will still work and you will not be treated any differently. Blocking strictly necessary cookies, or blocking all cookies in your browser, has a wider effect.

  • You may not be able to sign in, or you may be signed out as soon as you open a new page.
  • The cashier may not be able to complete a deposit or a withdrawal, because the steps it follows would be lost between pages.
  • Games may fail to load or may lose your place in a round.
  • Preferences such as language and favourites will not be remembered.
  • You will see the cookie notice on every visit, because the record of your choice is itself kept in a cookie.

Safer gambling tools are not affected

Deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion are held against your account on our systems, not in a cookie. Clearing cookies, switching browser or using a new device does not lift them. To exclude yourself from licensed gambling sites in Great Britain you can register with GamStop, and free, confidential support is available from GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, with information and advice from GambleAware. This site is for adults aged 18 or over.

How to reach us about cookies

If you have a question about this policy, want to know more about a particular cookie or would like help changing your settings, email us at support@casinogrp.co.uk or use the live chat on the site. It helps if you tell us which browser and device you are using, as the steps differ between them.

Questions about how we handle personal data more generally, and requests about your data rights, go to privacy@casinogrp.co.uk and are covered in our Privacy Policy.

We update this policy when the cookies we use change, or when the rules and guidance that apply to them change. The current version is always shown on this page with the date it last changed. Where an update affects the categories you agreed to, we will ask for your choices again through the cookie notice.
